To fix the known problem when trying to import images from an EOS-1Ds, when using either Scanner and Camera Wizard, My Computer icon on the Desktop or Explorer on a computer with Windows XP Service Pack 2 and WIA Driver ver. 5.0.1/5.0.2 installed does not work.
Installation
In case the older WIA Driver ver. 5.0.1/5.0.2 is not installed on PC
Please follow the normal procedure to install the driver. Install WIA Driver ver. 5.0.3 on your PC first without connecting the camera. Then connect the camera to PC and turn the camera's main switch to ON to complete the installation.
In case the older WIA Driver ver. 5.0.1/5.0.2 is installed on PC
Do not connect the camera to your PC before you have installed WIA Driver ver. 5.0.3. After installation of the driver on PC, you connect the camera to PC and turn on the camera's main switch. The older driver is uninstalled and new driver installation is completed automatically.
